Think Big helps entrepreneurs build exceptional companies. Think Big Accelerator (TBA) is an immerse 6-9 month program for early-stage tech-focused startups.
We bring together the right people, best practices, and a checklist-oriented process to solve real world problems. We’re not interested in simply developing a product or service. Our companies graduate with a viable, sustainable business, servicing real customers and generating actual revenue.
The Think Big Accelerator is different than other accelerator programs. Because no idea is always at the same stage of business, the Think Big Accelerator application window opens annually and accepts rolling applications throughout that year so that entrepreneurs can apply when their startup is ready. With this unique model, the entrepreneurs accepted into the accelerator will experience a custom-built process to accelerate growth and sustainability.
Why Think Big Accelerator?
Raising seed capital is only a small part of the startup process. Anyone can give you office space and a few thousand dollars. But that is just a small piece of the puzzle when it comes to building a successful business. We take the time to get to know you, your company, and your goals and then provide you with the necessary elements to achieve success.
We measure the success of our program by the accomplishments of our accelerator companies. In the past, our accelerator participants have been given numerous awards, received high recognition and have connected with the right individuals to achieve even greater success.
What You Get
Capital
We typically invest between $18,000 and $50,000 in exchange for equity.
Office Hours
Scheduled one-on-one time with TBA founders/partners for high-level analysis, strategy and problem solving.
Microsoft Partnership
Microsoft Ventures is partnering with Think Big Partners to support startups and entrepreneurship at a local level in Kansas City. While the Microsoft BizSpark program will be providing software, support, and visibility to the startups, Microsoft Ventures will be providing additional resources through this partnership to better enable the startups’ success on the Microsoft platform. Microsoft will provide technical resources and devices to startups engaged in the Think Big Accelerator. Think Big Accelerator companies get up to $60,000 of Windows Azure over two years.
Coworking and Community Office Space
Every startup receives 24/7 access to the Think Big Coworking (TBCo) community for the duration of the program. Our open and collaborative coworking space is located in the heart of downtown Kansas City, Missouri, in the Crossroads Arts District and is home to many well-known, venture-backed companies and startups. TBCo is like an Olympic training ground where members find new ways to work, collaborate with one another, and surround themselves with other brilliant minds.
Marketing Experience
We are online marketing experts. We have a collective 40 years in lead generation, SEO, digital media, content marketing, strategy and growth hacking experience.
Speakers
Knowledge is power. Once every month or so we bring together our alumni network and the Kansas City entrepreneur community for dinner and speakers.
Mentors
We believe companies are built on relationships and people. Unlike many other programs, we’ve done away with throwing hundreds of mentors at entrepreneurs who may not end up being relevant and could potentially provide damaging feedback for a business. You shouldn’t be limited to just the mentors we tout. We match you up with the mentors that are best suited to provide real value to your needs, when you need it.
